How Inbooks Works
Turn transaction records into reconciled books and a reporting pack that helps you see cash, outstanding invoices and the costs driving your business.
01 · Define the engagement
Start with the legal entity, financial periods, current software and the decision or deadline driving the work. Agree deliverables, exclusions, responsibilities and fees.
02 · Establish the evidence
Request the ledger, bank statements and relevant supporting records through an agreed channel. Keep a missing-records register and identify who will resolve each item.
03 · Review and resolve
Reconcile balances and document exceptions. Proposed corrections should retain a clear evidence trail and the appropriate approval before posting.
04 · Hand over and maintain
Provide the agreed outputs, explain remaining exceptions and hand back access or records as agreed. For recurring work, set a close calendar and review owner.
Know where the responsibility sits
Accounting preparation, independent audit, certification and regulatory decisions are distinct activities. Confirm the appointed parties and scope in the engagement.
